Russia has introduced some 700,000 youngsters from the battle zones in Ukraine into Russian territory, Grigory Karasin, head of the worldwide committee within the Federation Council, Russia’s higher home of parliament, stated late on Sunday.
“In recent times, 700,000 youngsters have discovered refuge with us, fleeing the bombing and shelling from the battle areas in Ukraine,” Karasin wrote on his Telegram messaging channel.
Russia launched a full-scale invasion on its western neighbor Ukraine in February 2022. Moscow says its program of carry youngsters from Ukraine into Russian territory is to guard orphans and youngsters deserted within the battle zone.
