Eight people who have been arrested by the Nawagamuwa police over the assault on a Buddhist monk and two girls inside a home at Bomiriya, Rassapana in Nawagamuwa have been remanded until July 12 by Kaduwela Performing Justice of the Peace Hemantha Wettasinghe immediately.
The Justice of the Peace additionally ordered that the eight suspects be introduced for an identification parade on that day.
In the meantime, Police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa mentioned the Navagamuwa Police are persevering with investigations to arrest the suspect who had uploaded the video on social media.
