The Inland Income Division has collected almost Rs. 700 billion in taxes within the first half of 2023.
Issuing a press release, the Division stated the tax income within the first six months stood at Rs. 696,946 million.
In keeping with the IRD, it is a rise of 93 per cent compared to the identical interval in 2022.
The Inland Income Division obtained Rs. 361.8 billion in taxes throughout the first six months of 2022.
The Division attributed the rise in income to the revision of tax coverage, strengthening of the economic system and the development in tax assortment strategies.
