The scammer used WhatsApp to ship a pretend screenshot to the jewelry retailer proprietor, falsely claiming that the cost was profitable. Nonetheless, after additional investigation, it turned evident that no transaction had truly taken place.

Anuradha, the jewelry retailer proprietor, promptly took motion upon realising the lacking cost. She filed a grievance with the police, explaining how the scammer took benefit of her weak state of affairs whereas her husband was hospitalised and he or she wanted to conduct distant transactions.

“My husband Mukesh Kumar was in hospital then. I shared his checking account particulars, and the particular person despatched me a screenshot on my WhatsApp saying the cost was profitable. After I contacted the gentleman relating to the cost, he requested my presence in Mewat initially and later in Nehru Place, Delhi.
