The Sri Lanka Navy recovered over 35kg of Kerala hashish, throughout a search operation performed within the Mamunai space of Jaffna (19th July 2023).
The operation was performed by the Naval Deployment Vettalakeni belonging to the Northern Naval Command in Mamunai space at the moment. Throughout this operation, naval personnel searched 18 packages deserted beside a street within the space and the packages contained Kerala hashish weighing about 35kg and 900g.
In the meantime, the gross road worth of the seized Kerala hashish is believed to be Rs. 11 million. The consignment of narcotic medicine has been stored within the naval custody till they’re produced for onward authorized proceedings.
