The employees of the Outpatient Division (OPD) of the Girl Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) for Youngsters, Colombo has launched a 24-hour strike from 8.00 a.m. at present, the Authorities Medical Officers’ Affiliation (GMOA) mentioned.
GMOA Spokesperson Dr. Chamil Wijesinghe mentioned the strike was launched in protest of ‘arbitrary’ conduct of a specialist physician on the hospital.
Dr. Wijesinghe mentioned the conduct of this physician has been a long-standing difficulty and the hospital’s director has didn’t resolve the matter.
