Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday slammed the Opposition from disrupting the Parliament proceedings and “operating away from the dialogue” on Manipur subject.
“Opposition doesn’t wish to take part within the dialogue on the Manipur subject. Immediately when this subject was taken up within the Parliament, the opposition ran away from the dialogue. Saddened by the behaviour of the opposition,” Sitharaman mentioned.
“Manipur is only a political subject for them (Opposition). Immediately it was proved that they had been simply shedding crocodile tears on the Manipur subject. In the event that they genuinely cared, then they’d have mentioned it,” the Union Minister mentioned.
Parliament adjourned for the day
The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day on Monday because the Opposition stored insisting on a dialogue on the Manipur subject underneath Rule 267 of the Home.
