His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday left for Jakarta, Indonesia to attend the forty third ASEAN Summit and Associated Summits from September 5-7.
Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
Previous to leaving Istana Nurul Iman, a Doa Selamat was recited by State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.
Current at His Majesty the Sultan’s Flight Hangar in Rimba to bid farewell to the monarch had been members of the royal household.
Additionally current on the hangar had been Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria; Particular Advisor to His Majesty; Cupboard ministers; members of the privy council; deputy ministers; the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Appearing Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Pressure.
On arrival at Soekarno-Hatta Worldwide Airport in Indonesia, His Majesty was welcomed by Indonesian Minister of Communication and Info Budi Arie Setiadi.
Additionally current to greet His Majesty had been Minister on the Prime Minister’s Workplace and Minister of Finance and Financial system II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah; Minister of International Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof; and Chargé d’Affaires on the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Indonesia Yuhanizah binti Dato Paduka Dr Haji Ismail.
The ASEAN Summit, chaired by Indonesia, will collect ASEAN heads of state and authorities in addition to dialogue companions to advance discussions on the event of ASEAN and the strengthening of cooperation with dialogue companions with specific concentrate on problems with mutual significance to the area.
