Rugby India on Wednesday introduced a 12-member group for the upcoming Asian Video games in Hangzhou, China, with Sheetal Sharma as captain.
The group for the September 23 to October 8 continental multi-sporting occasion was picked after a 50-day camp.
Out of the 12 gamers introduced on Wednesday, 10 featured within the checklist of Asian Video games-bound athletes issued by the Sports activities Ministry final month, whereas different two weren’t there.
India’s marketing campaign begins with two matches — towards Hong Kong and Japan — on September 24.
Singapore is the fourth nation in Pool F. The highest two groups in every pool will qualify for the semi-finals.
The group: Sheetal Sharma (captain), Sweta Shahi, Sandhya Rai (vice-captain), Mama Naik, Kalyani Patil, Vaishnavi Patil, Lachmi Oraon, Dumuni Marndi, Hupi Majhi, Shikha Yadav, Tarulata Naik and Priya Bansal.
