Over 1,000kg of waste removed from beach

A complete of 1,052 kilogrammes of garbage have been collected throughout a seashore cleansing marketing campaign at Taman Rekreasi Tanjong Batu on Sunday.

The community-driven occasion, organised along with Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei’s (TAIB) 32^nd anniversary celebration, aimed to advertise environmental consciousness, sustainable practices, and the spirit of unity amongst communities.

Perbadanan TAIB’s Managing Director Datin Hajah Hasnah binti Haji Ibrahim stated, “I can nonetheless recall a time when our seashores have been largely suffering from simply driftwood. Again then, plastic waste was not often seen on our seashores.
