A protest was organized by pro-Palestine activists on Wednesday outdoors the Phoenix Cinema in London, which will probably be internet hosting the UK Premiere of the film ‘Golda’, as a part of the UK Jewish Movie Pageant.

The protest, organized in partnership with the advocacy group Palestine On-line, will see activists “giving out flyers with the intention to educate these attending as to the actual nature of Golda Meir’s rule of the land she had taken by pressure.”

Calls have been made to boycott the film, Golda, starring Helen Mirren, for glorifying former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir.
Whereas the film celebrates Golda Meir’s management as Israel’s prime minister, organizers of the boycott accuse Meir of killing and displacing hundreds of Palestinians throughout her tenure whereas denying the existence of the Palestinian folks.
