KANGAR, Sept 29 — The one flood reduction centre in Perlis that remained open this afternoon has additionally closed.
The centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kubang Gajah, which had housed 44 evacuees from 16 households, closed at 3pm, stated state Civil Defence Power director Lt Col (PA) Mohd Izaimi Md Daud.
“They had been allowed to return to their properties after the floodwaters receded,” he advised Bernama.
A complete of 86 evacuees from 28 households had been housed at two reduction centres from Tuesday.
A centre at SK Arau was closed on Wednesday. — Bernama
