The Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh is able to contribute to restoring peaceable life within the now-self-dissolved South Caucasian republic, whereas the USA and the European Union have been sowing instability there, TASS quoted Russia’s prime diplomat Sergey Lavrov as saying.
“Whereas fostering its geopolitical ambitions, Brussels is imposing its `providers as a mediator’ on Azerbaijan and Armenia, inflicting instability in South Caucasus collectively with Washington,” Lavrov mentioned in his article entitled “Respecting the Ideas of the UN Constitution because the Key to Worldwide Peace and Stability.”
“Now that the leaders of Yerevan and Baku have agreed to mutually acknowledge one another’s sovereignty, the time has come to revive peaceable life <…>. The Russian peacekeeping mission is able to make each contribution to that,” he added.
