KARACHI: An India-bound flight on Saturday landed at Jinnah Worldwide Airport in Karachi after a passenger onboard the aircraft had a medical emergency, stated aviation officers.
On its approach from Dubai, UAE, to Amritsar, India, Flight IX-192 of the Air India Categorical — a low-cost airline — made its touchdown on the Jinnah Worldwide Airport at 12:19pm.
When the Boeing 737 aircraft was close to Balochistan’s Koh-i-Patandar, the passenger complained of a medical emergency.
The pilot then contacted the air site visitors management authorities, who allowed the aircraft to land in Karachi on humanitarian foundation.
As soon as the aircraft landed, CAA’s medics attended to the affected person. Later, after the passenger was cleared for air journey, the aircraft took off from Karachi at 2:25pm.
