His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, arrived in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to attend the ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit which might be held on twentieth October 2023.

Upon arrival at King Khalid Worldwide Airport, His Majesty was welcomed by Deputy Governor of Riyadh Area His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz; Mayor of Riyadh Area His Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf; Secretary-Normal of the GCC Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi; and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Buraithin.
The ASEAN–GCC Summit, might be co-chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Indonesia, because the Chair of ASEAN in 2023. At this Summit, ASEAN and GCC Heads of State and Authorities will collect for the primary time since ASEAN-GCC relations have been formally established in 1990, and talk about methods to additional strengthen relations in addition to advance collaboration on problems with mutual curiosity corresponding to local weather change.
