A joint roadblock operation in Kampong Luagan Timbaran in Tutong District uncovered a number of offences yesterday.
The operation from 8.30am to 10.45am concerned personnel from the Royal Brunei Police Pressure (RBPF), Land Transport Division (JPD), Royal Customs and Excise Division (RCED) and Narcotics Management Bureau (NCB), based on the RBPF. Six site visitors violations and 21 fines had been issued following inspection on 130 autos. Among the many offences had been expired driving licence, worn out tyres and expired car insurance coverage.
The JPD issued 13 fines for 5 offences whereas 5 people had been detained by the RCED for the unlawful possession of cigarettes and vapes. The NCB discovered two violations for managed drug consumption. – James Kon
