State Minister Sanath Nishantha was suspended from Parliament periods for 2 weeks from at the moment (November 22) over the unruly behaviour in Parliament yesterday (November 21).
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardane advised Parliament that he took the choice when it comes to the powers vested in him underneath Standing Order 146.
Opposition Chief Sajith Premadasa raised a query on the Supreme Courtroom ruling on Sri Lanka’s chapter, which cited that elementary rights have been violated by way of financial choices taken from 2019 – 2022.
Whereas the Members of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) protested towards the assertion, State Minister Sanath Nishantha was seen snatching away the doc containing the opposition chief’s assertion.
