LAHORE – An anti-terrorism courtroom (ATC) on Monday acquitted 26 activists of the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in a case registered beneath terrorism costs, creating disturbance and damaging state properties.
The courtroom held that the prosecution did not show costs in opposition to the accused.
ATC Decide Abher Gul Khan carried out the trial proceedings and introduced the choice after listening to detailed arguments of the defence counsel and prosecution.
The Chung police had registered the case in opposition to the TLP employees in 2021. They had been accused of making disturbances and damaging state properties.
Those that had been acquitted included Muhammad Nasim Haider, Abid Hussain, Shahid Humayun, Muhammad Saeed, Muhammad Munir, Muhammad Faheem, Riaz Ali, Zahoor Ahmad, Muhammad Tahir Baloch, Sabir Hussain and Zafar Hussain.
