Performing Tutong District Officer Muhammad Sofian bin Haji Basri launched the inaugural three-day Kampong Ukong Pageant on its second day on Saturday.
The competition, organised by the Kampong Ukong Village Consultative Council, featured a number of actions together with sports activities, exhibition, cultural performances and stalls promoting services and products. There have been additionally Doa Kesyukuran, mass prayers, recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Al-Quran memorisation.
The competition was aimed toward enhancing concord, encouraging cooperation and strengthening ties amongst residents in addition to supporting home tourism Kenali Negara Kitani programme.
