Damascus, SANA-The areas deliberate for cotton cultivation for the agricultural season 2023-2024 is about 14,419 hectares, with an anticipated manufacturing of about 43,257 tons, in response to the Director of Planning and Worldwide Cooperation within the Ministry of Agriculture, Nazik Al-Ali.
Al-Ali stated that over the past season, 7,175 hectares of deliberate areas had been cultivated with cotton, producing about 17,017 tons, of which 15,866 tons have been marketed up to now.
Al-Ali identified that the acquisition value of 1 kilogram of beloved cotton was set at 10,000 Syrian kilos to encourage farmers to plant all of the deliberate areas of this crop.
