Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday allotted Rs 4,342.55 crore to the Ministry of Data and Broadcasting within the interim Price range for 2024-25, a slight lower from the revised estimates of Rs 4,449.79 within the earlier fiscal. In response to the Price range doc introduced by Sitharaman, a big portion of the allocation — Rs 2,959.94 crore — has been made to broadcasting, whereas Rs 1,088.16 crore has been earmarked beneath the top of Data and Publicity, which is marginally larger than the revised estimates of the earlier fiscal.
Sitharaman has allotted Rs 36.93 crore beneath the top of Artwork and Tradition, which is lower than the Rs 45.54 crore earmarked within the revised estimates for 2023-24.
The finance minister made it clear that she was presenting the interim Price range for 2024-25 and the federal government will current the “full finances in July”.
