President of the Maldives, Dr. Muizzu submitted nominations for the ambassadorial positions of three international locations to the Parliament on Tuesday (Feb.06).
In his correspondence to Parliament, President Muizzu put forth names for the ambassadorial appointments to Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Belgium and the European Union, in accordance with Article 14 of the Maldives’ Overseas Service Act.
The nominees introduced by the President are as follows:
– Ambassador to Sri Lanka – Masood Imad
– Ambassador to Malaysia – Maryam Shabina Ahmed
– Ambassador to Belgium and the EU – Geela Ali
Masood Imad, who’s designated because the ambassador to Sri Lanka, beforehand served because the Press Secretary of the Authorities of Mohamed Waheed. Geela Ali, the nominee for Belgium and the EU, previously held the place of Everlasting Secretary on the Ministry of Well being and has prior expertise inside the international ministry.
