Replying to a query about political contacts for the formation of presidency in centre, Asad Qaiser stated he has been tasked by the social gathering founder for contacts with political events together with, JUI-F, ANP, Aftab Sherpao and others.
The previous speaker stated the February 8 elections had been ‘rigged’ to undermine the mandate of the plenty given to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Omar Ayub Khan, an impartial candidate backed by PTI gained the election for Nationwide Meeting constituency NA-18, Haripur by securing 192,948 votes.
In response to the unofficial end result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate, Babar Nawaz Khan who bagged 112,389 votes. The voters’ turn-out remained 49.88%.
