On 16 October, the CFI undertaking co-hosted a high-level panel on “Countering International Interference: From Democratic Erosion to World Safety” on the Montreal Worldwide Safety Summit 2025.
International Data Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) has emerged as a strategic software within the arsenal of authoritarian actors. Whereas usually mentioned within the context of electoral meddling and democratic erosion, the risk extends properly past the poll field and humorous memes. International interference operations exploit all hybrid domains to weaken alliances, undermine societal cohesion, gas regional instability, and erode belief in international governance.
