ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Thursday issued a clarification regarding his remarks on the NA-18 by-poll, following the Election Fee of Pakistan’s (ECP) request for military deployment.

The ECP sought the deployment of military and civil armed forces for the by-polls, over what it known as CM Afridi’s “threats” and use of “provocative language” in opposition to public officers.

Nevertheless, the KP chief minister — talking to journalists exterior the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi — mentioned that his remarks throughout a political gathering speech at Chamba on Wednesday had been “taken out of context”.
