Pope Leo XIV in Istanbul urges Christians to rebuild belief, deepen mutual respect and protect the symbolic “bridges of unity.”

Addressing Christian congregations and invited friends, the Pope drew symbolic inspiration from the three bridges that span the Bosphorus, highlighting their reminder of how human ties should be protected and nurtured.

Pope Leo XIV stated the Bosphorus bridges function a vivid reminder that unity requires steady dedication. Similar to the bodily constructions linking two continents, he famous, the foundations of human connection should be maintained with care and a spotlight so they don’t weaken over time.
