The Newton County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday to grant funding to a warming shelter this winter season. The warming shelter is operated by native nonprofit Repairers of the Breach and is positioned at 2185 Washington Road. Each the Metropolis of Covington and Newton County are contributing funding to the maintenance and operation of the ability by way of the winter months.
