The U.S. struck Venezuela in a single day and captured its long-serving President Nicolas Maduro, President Donald Trump mentioned early Saturday after months of pressuring him over accusations of drug-running and illegitimacy in energy.
Washington has not made such a direct intervention in Latin America because the invasion of Panama in 1989 to depose army chief Manuel Noriega, over related allegations.
“America of America has efficiently carried out a big scale strike in opposition to Venezuela and its chief, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, alongside along with his spouse, captured and flown in a foreign country,” Trump mentioned in a Reality Social put up.
