Indonesia has inked a deal to purchase BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles from India, Reuters reported on Monday.
BrahMos, backed by the governments of India and Russia, mentioned in 2023 that it was in superior talks with Jakarta for a deal valued at $200 million to $350 million.
The deal is “a part of the modernization of army {hardware} and defence capabilities, particularly within the maritime sector,” Indonesian Protection Ministry spokesperson Rico Ricardo Sirait informed the information company.
