Sindh crosses Rs300bn revenue milestone: Murad Ali Shah

Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Thursday mentioned that crossing Rs300 billion in income assortment is a serious milestone for the province.

He made the remarks whereas chairing a gathering of the Sindh Income Board (SRB), the place officers briefed him on the rise in tax revenue and recoveries.

Throughout the assembly, the chief minister directed authorities to facilitate taxpayers, increase the tax web and take strict motion in opposition to tax evasion. He additionally emphasised making certain transparency and introducing digital reforms within the tax system.

Murad Ali Shah mentioned the SRB has established an intelligence, investigation and prosecution wing to strengthen enforcement. “A particular enforcement unit has additionally been shaped to curb tax fraud and faux invoices,” he added.

He famous that the audit system, digital dashboard and e-filing platforms have been additional strengthened. The chief minister additionally highlighted that an e-filing system has been launched for agriculture tax.

Expressing satisfaction over the efficiency of the SRB, Murad Ali Shah termed the achievement of crossing the Rs300 billion income mark a big milestone.

He mentioned the rise in provincial revenues displays improved governance, transparency and institutional reforms.

The chief minister additionally burdened the necessity to deliver undocumented providers into the tax web, guarantee efficient monitoring and take strict motion in opposition to tax theft.
