4 of the six crew aboard a KC-135 refueling plane that crashed over western Iraq are confirmed lifeless, U.S. Central Command stated.
The tanker crashed in an incident on Thursday involving one other plane, which managed to land safely. The planes had been working as a part of the U.S. navy marketing campaign towards Iran.
“The circumstances of the incident are underneath investigation,” U.S. Central Command stated in a press release on Friday. “Nonetheless, the lack of the plane was not because of hostile fireplace or pleasant fireplace.”
