Rescue officers stated the deceased, Hassan, died on the spot after the tanker struck the bike
KARACHI:
A four-year-old baby was killed and three others have been injured after a water tanker hit a bike close to Ilyas Mosque at Manghopir Ijtema Gah on Saturday, rescue officers stated.
In line with rescue officers, the deceased baby was recognized as Hassan, whereas the injured embrace 18-year-old Sharjeel, 15-year-old Fatima and seven-year-old Abdullah. The victims have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital following the accident.
Police and eyewitnesses stated the water tanker, which was coming from the incorrect facet of the highway, struck the bike carrying the kids.
The accident occurred whereas the kids have been on their option to faculty. Hassan was travelling from Manghopir to Gulshan-e-Bahar College along with his siblings, officers stated, including that the kid died on the spot.
Following the incident, native residents caught the tanker driver and handed him over to the police.
Residents of the world stated accidents involving heavy autos steadily happen within the locality, including that this was the fourth such incident within the metropolis prior to now three days involving vans, trailers or water tankers hitting motorcyclists.
On Friday in Gulistan-e-Johar, two dumpers reportedly racing one another collided with a number of bikes and vehicles. Earlier on Wednesday, a trailer close to the Karimabad Furnishings Market crushed two brothers using a bike, ensuing of their deaths.
