SEOUL, March 17 (Yonhap) — The international ministry mentioned Tuesday it has mentioned methods to step up cybersecurity cooperation with officers of North Atlantic Treaty Group (NATO) member states and Indo-Pacific companions.
Youn Jong-kwon, Seoul’s ambassador for worldwide cybersecurity affairs, mentioned the difficulty through the Cyber Champions Summit (CCS) held within the Czech Republic on March 15-16 (native time), the ministry mentioned in a press launch.
On the sidelines of the occasion, Youn attended a session collectively held by South Korea, the USA and Japan to handle North Korea’s cyber threats. He additionally held bilateral conferences with officers from the U.S., Japan, the Netherlands and Lithuania, in addition to NATO.
In the course of the conferences, Youn exchanged views on the newest cyber risk tendencies, together with safety points involving synthetic intelligence (AI).
The ministry mentioned the South Korean authorities will proceed to strengthen cybersecurity cooperation with NATO member states and Indo-Pacific companions to reply successfully to evolving cyber threats.
The CCS was first launched in Lithuania in 2023 as a multilateral convention on cybersecurity and cyberdefense, attended by NATO member states and main companions.
