Vientiane (VNA) – Vietnam’s Quang Binh AMI Renewables Funding Joint Inventory Firm and
the Authorities of Laos on December 8 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on a feasibility research on a wind farm growth undertaking in Laos’
Savannakhet province.
Below the 24-month MoU, within the first stage, the corporate will
conduct a feasibility research on a 252 MW wind farm undertaking in an space of
practically 2,700 ha within the province’s Sepon district.
If the Savannakhet province approves extra land for the undertaking, the corporate will research
to extend the capability of the wind farm to 1,215 MW.
After the MoU’s
validity, if the undertaking is possible when it comes to finance and markets, assembly Laos’
technical requirements on electrical energy, the Lao Authorities will enable the corporate
to implement and function the undertaking within the build-own-operate (BOO) kind.
The undertaking is a part of the
Lao Authorities’s growth purpose to supply electrical energy./.
