Angelo Badalamenti, composer for ‘Twin Peaks,’ is dead at 85

Angelo Badalamenti, an internationally sought-after composer who wrote the hypnotic theme to “Twin Peaks,” David Lynch’s Nineties tv drama sequence, and the music for 5 Lynch movies, together with “Blue Velvet” (1986), died Sunday at his dwelling in Lincoln Park, New Jersey. He was 85.

His niece Frances Badalamenti confirmed the demise. She stated she didn’t know the trigger.

Angelo Badalamenti was on the piano behind Isabella Rossellini when she sang “Blue Velvet” on the Sluggish Membership in Lumberton, North Carolina, a flower-filled, picket-fence form of city with a really darkish facet. Except for the title tune, a Bobby Vinton hit from 1963, he had composed a lot of the movie’s music.
