Ven. Agalakada Sirisumana Thera, Professor of Colombo College’s Sinhala Research Division, was injured in a automobile accident that happened in Kesbewa at round 3.00 pm yesterday (01), the Kesbewa Police mentioned.
The accident had occurred whereas the Thera was on his means from his temple in Lunawa, Moratuwa to attend a Dhamma sermon at a temple in Kumbuka, Horana which was scheduled to be held at round 5.00 pm.
The accident had taken place close to a grocery store in Kesbewa when the automobile the Thera was travelling in collided with one other automobile.
It was reported that the thera’s situation is out of hazard.
Each autos have suffered heavy damages. The Kesbewa Police are conducting additional investigations.
