Maldives Ports Restricted (MPL) has decreased charges taken from containers which can be being exported from Maldives.
MPL began implementing the change from 01 January, 2023 onwards.
The corporate highlights that the change was introduced to assist Maldivian companies who export their items.
MPL notes that with the adjustments, the charges have been decreased by almost 75 %.
As such, the charge of MVR 4,419.03 taken from 20 toes containers has been decreased to MVR 1,132.08 and charge of MVR 8,767.51 taken from 40 toes containers has been decreased to MVR 2,264.14.
Talking in regards to the change, CEO of MPL, Shahid Ali acknowledged that the change was introduced after taking the considerations raised by companies into consideration.
Shahid acknowledged that the corporate’s purpose is to make the method as simpler and handy for enterprise.
