The UP drug controller has cancelled the licence of Noida-based Marion Biotech that manufactured the alleged contaminated cough syrup linked to the loss of life of 18 kids in Uzbekistan. “We now have cancelled the licence of Marion Biotech,” Dinesh Tiwari, assistant commissioner (drug), informed ET.

The UP medication controller has already ordered Marion Biotech services to cease manufacturing. Earlier this month, following receipt of the RDTL report, the medication controller filed a grievance in opposition to the Noida drugmaker on the market of adulterated merchandise.

The UP police have arrested three individuals on this connection.
