AGRA: Two sisters had been burned to demise after the thatched roof of their home caught fireplace attributable to a brief circuit in a village right here on Wednesday, police stated.

The blaze broke out round 12 pm when the 2 women — Kanak (3) and Veenesh (5) — and their six-month-old youthful brother Alok had been asleep of their home at Karhaki village within the Kheragarh block of this district, Sunil Kumar, in-charge on the Basai Jagner police station stated.

“The youngsters had been sleeping on the primary ground of the home, whose roof was product of husk and caught fireplace attributable to a brief circuit,” Kumar stated.

The youngsters’s father was not at house when the blaze broke out, whereas the couple’s two different youngsters had been taking part in outdoors. Their mom was on the bottom ground. She suffered burns whereas making an attempt to save lots of the youngsters and later fainted, Kumar stated.

As the hearth erupted, the neighbours rushed to assist and in some way rescued Alok, however couldn’t save his sisters, he added.

The six-month-old youngster and his mom are being handled at a authorities hospital in Agra, the police stated.
