The 4th Spherical of International Workplace Bilateral Consultations, Second Strategic Maritime Dialogue and Third Joint Commerce and Funding Committee Assembly between Sri Lanka and Australia befell on 12 July 2023 on the Ministry of International Affairs in Colombo.
These conferences had been co-chaired by First Assistant Secretary of the Division of International Affairs and Commerce of Australia Gary Cowan, Extra Secretary (Bilateral East) Yasoja Gunasekera and Extra Secretary (Financial Affairs) Shanika Dissanayake of the Ministry of International Affairs and Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Commerce and Meals Safety A.M.P.M.B. Atapattu.
In the course of the discussions, new avenues for elevated institutional cooperation within the defence, agriculture, cyber safety and training sectors had been recognized. Either side agreed to work collectively to strengthen regional cooperation, together with by the Indian Ocean Rim Affiliation (IORA). Discussions additionally befell on strengthening commerce and funding ties.
