A delegation from Brunei Darussalam attended the second Islamic Army Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Protection Ministers Council assembly in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
Representing Brunei Darussalam and on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was Minister on the Prime Minister’s Workplace and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Main Common (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof.
The IMCTC is an initiative established by Saudi Arabia in 2015, with its first assembly held in 2017 in Riyadh.
IMCTC goals to debate and additional improve efforts in combating the specter of terrorism and violent extremism on the worldwide degree.
The second assembly was attended by 42 member states and three observer international locations. The assembly mentioned methods and key achievements of IMCTC, in addition to initiatives set-forth by IMCTC’s member states on countering terrorism.
