Video & In Pictures: The Cambodian People’s Party began its campaign for the fifth senate election

The CPP mentioned some 10,000 of its supporters hit the streets in Phnom Penh on Saturday to marketing campaign for the election.



The CPP’s President, Hun Sen, expressed his gratitude to the folks for trusting and supporting the CPP in all circumstances over the previous 45 years.

In line with the Nationwide Election Committee, all 125 Nationwide Meeting members and 11,622 commune councilors will vote at 33 polling stations throughout the nation.

The Senate has 62 seats, however the vote shall be held for 58 seats solely, as two senators shall be appointed by the King and two others by the Nationwide Meeting.
