The Shehbaz Sharif authorities has discontinued vitality talks with Russia involving a deal to purchase crude at discounted charges, Pakistan’s former vitality minister Hammad Azhar has claimed.
Hammad made these claims on Tuesday in response to the newly appointed Pakistan Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir’s feedback that there have been no negotiations involving the acquisition of oil and fuel from Russia.
Dastgir mentioned there was no paper/proof obtainable with the quarters involved, The Information Worldwide newspaper reported.
Nonetheless, this runs opposite to claims made by Hammad that Islamabad has shelved the PakStream pipeline settlement.
The previous federal minister, who served below the Imran Khan authorities, mentioned the PTI authorities had been “intensely engaged with Russian Power Ministry for the provision of discounted crude oil”, nonetheless, these negotiations have been halted now.
