Tajikistan’s Somon Air has launched one among a pair of Boeing 737-800s which the provider has agreed to lease from US-based Aviation Capital Group.
The settlement will enhance the airline’s fleet to 6 jets, comprising 4 737-800s and two -900s.
Somon Air says the primary plane below the lease deal arrived on 30 August and it expects to obtain the second in early September.
The airline’s deputy basic director, Abdulkosim Valiev, says the modernisation coincides with the anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence from the Soviet Union in September 1991.
“Supply of those plane will assist the airline develop its route community and enhance the variety of frequencies and locations for the comfort of our passengers,” he provides.
Somon Air operates primarily from Dushanbe and Khujand to cities in Europe – together with locations in Russia – in addition to the Center East, and Central Asia.
