BELVIDERE, Sick. (WLS) — An Illinois soldier killed in the course of the Korean Struggle has been recognized.
Military Corporal William Zoellick was a member of the Second Infantry Division. He was reported lacking in motion in North Korea in 1950 and died in 1953 in a POW camp.
Stays that have been reportedly recovered from Pyoktong, often known as Prisoner of Struggle Camp #5, couldn’t be initially recognized and have been buried within the Nationwide Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, generally known as the “Punchbowl,” in Honolulu.
Zoellick has since been recognized utilizing dental and anthropological evaluation.
A rosette will probably be positioned subsequent to his identify on the struggle memorial in Honolulu to represent that he is been accounted for.
