Highlights
WFP continued to strengthen the capability of key businesses in humanitarian provide chain and logistics preparedness in Bhutan. In September, search and rescue groups from the Royal Bhutan Police, Fireplace and Rescue Companies Division and the Division of Catastrophe Administration participated in a swift water rescue coaching. In the meantime, the Nationwide Humanitarian Provide Chain and Logistics Preparedness Working Group labored collectively to develop a nationwide humanitarian provide chain preparedness portal and a studying wants evaluation.
Operational Replace
On 27-28 September, WFP supported a swift water rescue coaching for 16 personnel from the Particular Reserve Police Power, Fireplace and Rescue Companies Division and the Division of Catastrophe Administration (DDM). The coaching aimed toward enhancing data and constructing capability of the frontline rescue personnel, which included using rafts and river rescue tools.
• WFP, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests (MoAF) and DDM, organised a threeday workshop for the Nationwide Humanitarian Provide Chain and Logistics Preparedness Working Group in Thimphu on 14-16 September. The workshop is a part of WFP’s field-based preparedness mission to facilitate Working Group members to evaluation their progress and prioritise duties included within the Logistics Motion Plan. In the course of the workshop, individuals offered inputs to develop a nationwide humanitarian provide chain preparedness portal, in addition to a studying wants evaluation survey. The survey will likely be collectively launched by MoAF and WFP in October.
