BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN — The Ministry of Training (MOE), in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, held the second version of the EU – Brunei Darussalam Cooperation in Larger Training and Analysis webinar on August 27. 

The web occasion was attended by 320 registered individuals and centered on three flagship EU-funded programmes: 

  • Erasmus Mundus: The flagship academic initiative of the EU that enables college students to pursue a joint grasp’s diploma by learning at two or extra universities in numerous international locations inside Europe. 
  • Horizon Europe: The world’s largest analysis and innovation programme, offering over €93.5 billion in funding to deal with a few of the best world challenges.

Along with college students and researchers, the webinar was attended by Dr Joyce Teo Siew Yean, Assistant Vice Chancellor (World Engagement) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam; Dr Mohamad Saiful Hj Omar, Assistant Vice Chancellor (Exterior & Business Relations) at Universiti Teknologi Brunei; and Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Norarfan Hj Zainal, Rector of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali. 

​By internet hosting this occasion, the Ministry of Training and the EU goal to encourage higher consciousness and curiosity amongst Bruneian college students and students in pursuing EU-funded programmes. 

The initiative additionally seeks to foster nearer collaboration between greater schooling establishments in Europe and Brunei, laying the groundwork for joint analysis, educational exchanges and potential Memoranda of Understanding.
