Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that India was truly waging a “low-intensity conflict” towards Pakistan from the Afghan soil.  

In an interview with Al Arabiya English’s webtv present Counterpoints, the defence minister stated that the Taliban regime and New Delhi have been in a relationship for a very long time. 

To a query, the defence czar stated that the Taliban regime not too long ago launched an unprovoked assault on Pakistan, including that the assault occurred when Afghan Overseas Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi was on a go to to India.

“The Taliban regime has had long-standing ties with Delhi. Just lately, their minister visited India for eight or 9 days, and through that interval, there have been clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan. We retaliated due to cross-border assaults during which we misplaced many troopers,” he added.

Responding to a query, Asif stated that India was behind the collapse of peace talks between Pakistan and the Taliban regime.

Stern warning to Taliban regime

A day earlier, the defence minister issued a stern warning to the Afghan Taliban regime.

In a publish on X, the defence minister stated that Pakistan had engaged in talks on the request of brotherly international locations in an effort to offer peace an opportunity, however “venomous statements” by sure Afghan officers clearly mirror the devious and splintered mindset of the Taliban regime.
