Bhatia highlighted India’s progress in pursuing a low-carbon growth path below Prime Minister Modi’s management, noting that the nation has achieved a number of of its local weather targets nicely forward of schedule.

“Between 2005 and 2020, we diminished the emission depth of GDP by 36 per cent, and this development continues. Non-fossil energy put in capability now accounts for over 50% of our whole put in capability, enabling us to achieve our revised NDC goal 5 years forward of schedule,” he mentioned.
He additionally cited the success of the Worldwide Photo voltaic Alliance, launched by India and France in 2015, which now brings collectively over 120 nations to advertise reasonably priced solar energy and South-South cooperation.
