ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Overseas Minister Ishaq Dar reached Moscow on Monday to take part within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of Authorities (CHG) assembly in Moscow from November 17-18.

Russian Deputy Overseas Minister Mikhail Galuzin, senior officers from the Russian Overseas Ministry, and officers of the Pakistan Embassy welcomed DPM Dar upon his arrival on the airport.

DPM Dar is main the Pakistani delegation on the assembly, following an invite from Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

In accordance with the Overseas Workplace, the assembly will likely be attended by the heads of presidency of Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, alongside the vp of Iran and the overseas ministers of Pakistan and India.

Representatives from Mongolia, Bahrain, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait and Turkmenistan, in addition to leaders of regional organisations, together with the Commonwealth of Impartial States (CIS), Euro Asian Financial Union (EAEU), Collective Safety Treaty Organisation (CSTO), and Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), will even attend the assembly, the assertion stated.

“In his deal with to the SCO CHG, the deputy prime minister will share Pakistan’s perspective on essential regional and world points in addition to methods to strengthen the Organisation for the good thing about the SCO area,” it added.

The CHG is the second-highest decision-making physique throughout the SCO and oversees cooperation in areas reminiscent of financial system, finance, commerce, connectivity, commerce and socio-economic growth, together with the organisation’s price range. It additionally adopts joint communiqués, statements and key selections.

The FO added that Dar will maintain bilateral conferences with the leaders of different SCO nations on the sidelines of the CHG to debate issues of mutual curiosity.

Earlier this yr, the SCO summit was held in Tianjin, China, from 31 August 31 to September 1.

In September, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif introduced that Pakistan would host the subsequent SCO summit.
